2.07: Robbing Hood

Pushing Daisies
Ned, Chuck and Emerson investigate the case of a dead millionaire (Shelley Berman) who may have been murdered by a latter-day Robin Hood (Danny Comden) . . . or his much-younger money grubbing widow (Jennifer Elise Cox).

Meanwhile, Lily fumes as the suspicious Dwight Dixon (Stephen Root) begins romancing clueless Vivian.

ABC Cancels Pushing Daisies

abc-cancels-pushing-daisies

From Watch With Kristin:

ABC has cancelled Pushing Daisies, executive producer Bryan Fuller confirms to me exclusively.

According to reports, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money have also been cancelled, but reps for both shows have declined to comment.

According to Fuller, the facts are these: “It’s very likely that Pushing Daisies will end after episode 13, which as you know, is a cliffhanger. But we are talking to DC Comics about doing comic books that will wrap up our storylines, and I already have a pitch for a movie ready to go.”"

While Pushing Daisies’ life at ABC seems to be over, we here at Pushing Daisies TV refuse to give up on it’s life on television.  Head on over to http://savedaisies.com/ to find out everything you can do to prevent ‘Pushing Daisies’ from actually pushing up daisies.  We are starting a new campaign to ‘Move Pushing Daisies’.

‘Move Pushing Daisies’ Campaign Begins

%e2%80%98move-pushing-daisies%e2%80%99-campaign-begins

With the ratings for “Oh Oh Oh… It’s Magic” reaching a series low, PD future is looking ever more grim. But at this time, giving up is something that we should NOT do!

So we are going to start a new campaign, the “Move Pushing Daisies Campaign”, to e-mail, send letters to Warner Bros and try to convince them to move it another network or if this doesn’t work — at least a Direct-To-DVD 2 hour movie special that wraps up the show.

Sends letters and packages to:

Pushing Daisies Warner Bros. TV
300 Television Plaza Burbank, CA 91505

And you can contact them online here:

Be sure to watch the episode live on TV. If you have a TIVO, record it and then watch it again later. Then get online and watch it over and over on ABC.com. With the fate of Pushing Daisies up in the air, the ratings for tonight’s episode are the most critical! Also, be sure to tell everyone you know to watch. Your family, girlfriend, boyfriend, even your mail man

Official Description of 2.09

official-description-of-209

ABC has released the official description of episode 2.09:

“Candle on the Water”- Ned and Chuck deal with the traumatic return of someone from their past, while Emerson, assisted by Olive, investigates the odd death of lighthouse keeper Nora McQuoddy, whose murder could expose some of Papen County’s stranger secrets, on “Pushing Daisies,” WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Season 2 Done, work on Season 3 to start in May!

season-2-done-work-on-season-3-to-start-in-may

Just got word from my source on PD and it’s some pretty good news:

“So, we got some news this AM. Keep in mind, this could very well change. At any moment. But as of now, we are ‘going down for the season’. Which means that they are planning on starting us back in May for Season 3.

If you can, please let the fans know that they SHOULDN’T stop sending things to ABC. The more that people speak out, the better the chances of us returning. If it gets too quiet, they will pull the plug b/f we get a chance to start season 3. ABC is listening to everyone. And EVERYONE knows of your site.”

What that means is that Season 2 will only be 13 episodes. When Pushing Daisies ends production on the 13th episode of the season 2, they will be done until May, when they will start production on Season 3. While this is great news, we still need to let ABC know, now more than ever, that we can’t live without this show!

Ausiello is on PD Rumor Patrol

ausiello-is-on-pd-rumor-patrol

From EW’s Ausiello:

Pushing Daisies has been axed. Fiction. An ABC insider insists that no final decision has been made re: Daisies. (The net has until mid-January to order more episodes.) But with production set to wrap early next week on the show’s 13th and possibly final episode, there’s little reason to be optimistic. (This also doesn’t bode well.) At least, as EW’s Lynette Rice reported exclusively, if the series bites the dust, Bryan Fuller has said that he’d return to Heroes. Silver lining, kids!

Things You Can Do to Help PD From an Insider

things-you-can-do-to-help-pd-from-an-insider

Below is a list of things you can do to help the show, that was given to us by our source, who works on Pushing Daisies:

“People can download from iTunes and watch over and over online…it will help the digital numbers.

A TON of people are sending packs of seeds to ABC…that is getting noticed and is GREAT. The 500 Buena Vista, Burbank, CA 91521-4551 is a good address, with ABC/Pushing Daisies.

Posting on the not-very-good-but official ABC PD site will also work…they DO read it.

Replying to Kristin Dos Santos’s articles on E! news is gold…they also read that. Not threatening to never watch ABC again…just a simple ‘please don’t cancel because there is nothing quite this good on TV’ would work. The threats are taken with a grain of salt. Note the positives of keeping PD around, not the negatives of not having it.

They will keep us going if there is a solid fan base. I think we have already proven that we have that, but with the games and debates, etc, its been hard for the network to really tell. Next week is HUGE in terms of numbers. We need all we can get. People need to watch LIVE, Tivo and then watch it later and then go on line and watch. Too much? Never! smile.gif

And maybe pray…to whoever.”

Mass Mail-In Details From ABC.com

mass-mail-in-details-from-abccom

The members on the official message board for Pushing Daisies at ABC.com are putting together a mass mail-in event. Below are the details:

From November 3rd to November 10th, fans will be sending a letter a day to ABC requesting they renew ‘Daisies’. We want to flood their boxes with mail for daisies for a week.

You are encouraged to send daisies (paper or real) Daisy seeds, Bouquets of Daisies, Pies (also paper or real) or just a letter. Send a few a day if you can afford it!

**Emailing is a great, but please send a tangible letter also. Having a full mailbox right there in front of them as opposed to on the internet sends a more powerful message.
